The Client
Amity (now Social+) is a fast-growing B2B tech company that provides ready-to-use technology for building digital communities. Their platform allows companies to seamlessly integrate social features like activity feeds, chat, groups, and forums into their apps and websites. Social+ powers over 100 million users per month, and is trusted by leading brands across industries.
The Challenge
Reaching out to C-level decision-makers and marketers at major brands and SMEs alike, without a prior relationship. The goal was to capture attention in crowded inboxes and generate new leads for the sales team.
My Role
Over the course of several months, I worked closely with the sales team to refine their outbound email strategy. I wrote and iterated on weekly cold email templates - balancing professional, creative, and conversational approaches to see what resonated best.
The Approach
Each week, I crafted three different email templates, experimenting with tone and messaging. These ranged from straightforward and professional to playful and creative. The focus was on delivering value quickly and making the reader curious enough to engage.
The Outcome
The emails consistently received strong open and response rates, with the sales team regularly receiving positive feedback on the tone and creativity of the emails (even from prospects who weren't interested in the product). In the end, our approach helped the brand land several high-profile clients, including major global brands.
